Day Trip to Rome: discipline yourself to be practical

Geox: only important question is what color?

Going into Rome, where pavement is a mosaic of cobblestones requires practical shoes. I loath practical when it comes to fashion. But after many mistakes, I am resigned to what style and what color Geox. I chose red canvas with white jeans and a black and white knit sleeveless top with ruffles.

Windbreaker with pockets

Mid-May the weather is hot, or at least it was yesterday and forecast for today. This belted and structured windbreaker will later be folded into the Longchamp long handled tote which carries my hat, sunglasses, and nuts.

Hay packed into collapsible tote
Leather handbag

This leather shoulder bag (easy to keep close to my body) is a beautiful momento of shopping at a charity shop last summer with my cousin in Vancouver.

Ironed Eileen Fisher white jeans

These jeans are my favorite. The cotton denim is comfortable and chic.

Longchamp nylon tote

Don’t leave home without an expandable bag that can hold hats and jackets, or sweaters and sunglasses. Or that bag of candy found at the Orte bar train station.

Orte train bar is why leave from here to Rome

The cashier was courteous, but my appreciation went to this woman who delivered coffees to double stacked line of customers at the bar. I had my cappuccino in three minutes. 2 euros.

Anice

My favorite flavor is anice.

Buona giornata!
