On my way walking to the Spanish Steps, I entered a hair salon for a shampoo and blow dry and ended up with a base color, a shampoo, a trim and a blow dry. The price was comparable to Los Angeles. I liked the novelty of getting my hair done in Rome — especially as I needed to refresh my color and I needed to take care of myself after dropping off my son at the airport. My handbag was wrapped up for protection.
I lay down in a massage chair when my hair was washed.
All in all, the experience was a nice way to try something different and relax in a big city.
