As Scott Peck wrote in “A Road Less Travelled”: “Life is difficult.” A friend’s beautiful young niece died from cancer this week. And all of us know moms and dads who died from cancer — leaving behind small children. It is unfair. It is tragic. And my heart has compassion for the families. My cousin died from cervical cancer almost 20 years ago — and I will never stop being sad. I loathe cancer. And that’s why I love this crazy over-the-top pink floral brocade coat by Etro — it is outrageous and energetic. I hope, as I go about town and look just a little bit ridiculous and glamorous — and smile — that some people will enjoy a bit of light. Here’s to all the beautiful souls rushed to Heaven by cancer.
