Obsessed with Saint Laurent’s Trapeze Mini Skirt in Black Patent Leather

Daring. Bold. Fun. Pretty. French. Perfectly fits. Deep front pockets. Black patent leather miniskirt — and the size — 38French (4-6 US) — is a great celebration of health (and great genetics) at my age of 56. I am obsessed with the beauty of this YSL miniskirt (silk liner) and it’s versatility — pull over ballet tights to go downtown LA for a ballet class (Miss Lucy Record, Colburn); over Lululemon leggings for pilates class at Equinox or a yoga class at Yogaworks. Boring errands? Sitting around the house watching the US Open? Wear YSL’s black patent leather mini skirt with Valentino flats, Manolo pumps, or Hugo Boss Stilettos. I am 56 years old and I am enjoying the fashion!

I bought the YSL miniskirt to go with the Saint Lauren gold and black lace sleeveless top (worn with Hugo Boss Stilettos):

I also paired it with a Saint Laurent black v-neck shirt:

And here is the YSL black patent leather miniskirt with a red lace bra and a Pinko camisole:

YSL miniskirt goes nicely with a red leather Italian jacket picked up in Amelia in 2015 (here the shoes are chunky short black boots):

The bag is Prada from the outlet store in Tuscany:

Love the short leather jacket with miniskirt:

For ballet class downtown switched out leather jacket for a Valentino cardigan that fit nicely in my Prada handbag (along with ballet skirt and slippers for ballet class):

For early morning Pilates class turned to an Hermès cashmere cardigan and Christian LouBoutin short heels (found at a Neiman Marcus sale) with Lululemon align pants:

And for watching the US Open — miniskirt with Wolford tights:
